11 Samuel 5 verse 13

And David took him more concubines and wives out of Jerusalem, after he was come from Hebron: and there were yet sons and daughters born to David.

1. David was a polygamist, yet God described him as a man after his own heart.
2. Some men use this as an excuse that the Bible supports polygamy.
3. The truth is that God called David a man after his own heart when David was a young leader before he started accumulating wives.
4. A lot of evils happened to David because of his polygamous life. For instance, his son raped his daughter.

Prayer

• Oh Lord, deliver me from the spirit of polygamy.
