Psalm 16
- Psalm 16 vs 4 warns that we must not use our lips to pronounce the names of idols.
- The gods are not dead because Satan is not dead, and he cannot die.
- Anytime you pronounce the name of a god, you have activated the spirit of that god.
- Your name has a physical and spiritual meaning.
- Your life can be influenced by the spirit behind the meaning of your name.
- Most names either glorifies God or Satan.
- God himself changed the names of several people in the Bible.
- Do not be romantically or emotionally attached to a name that has idolatrous roots.
- David in the Psalm said the names of idols must not be heard from our lips.
- Change any idolatrous name you are bearing today.
- Prayer: Holy Ghost destroy my idolatrous roots in Jesus name
