Mark 8 vs. 36 – What shall it profit a man to gain the whole world, and lose his soul?

This is one of the most important verses in the Bible. The simple questions Jesus is asking you and I today are:

1. What shall it profit an athlete to win the Olympic gold and hell up as a champion in hell?

2. What does it profit a man to be named one of the richest men on earth, and end up spending eternity in agony?

3. What does it profit a man to be a super star on earth, a Hollywood, Bollywood or Nollywood celebrity, and end up as a cast away in hell?

4. What does it profit a man to have high sounding titles on earth- Emeritus Professor, Archbishop, High Chief, Otunba, Igwe, Honourable, Executive Chairman, National Co-ordinator, Fellow, Distinguished Senator, Hounorable, Fellow, Pastor, Prophet, Apostle, Group Managing Director, Chartered Accountant, Expert, Chancellor, President, Chief Executive Officer, Ambassador etc……. and end up a commoner in the eternity of hell?

5. What does it profit a man to indulge in illicit lust with an harem of women on earth, and end up in the hands of demons in hell?

6. What does it profit a man to live in a mansion on earth, and end up in torment in hell?

7. What does it profit a man to enjoy the pleasure of sin for 80, 90, 100 years on this earth, and be afflicted by the torment of sin for eternity?
