A church Deacon must be:
- Be honest and straight forward
- Not a drunkard
- Detest ill gotten wealth
- Have faith in God
- Not a new convert
- Blameless
- Husband of one wife
- A Deacon’s wife must be a born again Christian
- Have godly children
