Bible: Should I change my name?

Matthew 16 vs. 17-18 – 17 And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjona: for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my Father which is in heaven. 18 And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

1. The original name of Peter was Simon Barjona
2. Jesus changed it to Peter, which means ‘rock’
3. Peter later manifested his name by becoming the leader of the first church.
4. If you are bearing an ungodly name, you need to change your name as led by the Spirit.
