And all the king’s servants, that were in the king’s gate, bowed, and reverenced Haman: for the king had so commanded concerning him. But Mordecai bowed not, nor did him reverence.
- When the laws of your country contradict the Bible, which do you choose to obey- secular laws or the Bible?
- In this passage, Mordecai choose to disobey the King’s commandments because it contravened God’s laws that the Jews should not bow down for any person apart from God.
