Blind Bartemaeus was violent Christian. He exhibited all the qualities of a prayer warrior.
He shouted on top of his voice and refused to be cowed. Immediately his attention was called to meet Jesus, he threw off his cloak and leap on his feet.
Mark 10 vs 46-48:. 46 And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his disciples and a great number of people, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou son of David, have mercy on me. 48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou son of David, have mercy on me
Power does not concede anything without pressure.
I am sure there the evil spirit rulers of Jericho never Bartimaues to received his miracles, also the people of Jericho shouted him down. But Bartimaeus was not deterred. He struggled against God and Man and overcame.
He was violent in his spirit against his condition and was never pacified until he received his miraclesIn our daily lives, we have to apply the same violence in order to achieve breakthroughs. When there is a will there is a way, when there is a violent will, there is a violent breakthrough.
