Evil name: Should I change my name?

Genesis 32 vs. 27-29 – And he said unto him, What is thy name? And he said, Jacob. And he said, Thy name shall be called no more Jacob, but Israel: for as a prince hast thou power with God and with men, and hast prevailed. And Jacob asked him, and said, Tell me, I pray thee, thy name. And he said, Wherefore is it that thou dost ask after my name? And he blessed him there.

1. You need to change your name if you are presently named after an idol.
2. You need to change your name if it does not glorify God.
3. You need to change your name if it is obvious that it has been causing you to manifest evil character.
4. You need to change your name if you have a revelation to change it or ministers of God counsel you to do such.
