John 8:1-11 King James Version (KJV)
1Jesus went unto the Mount of Olives.
2And early in the morning he came again into the temple, and all the people came unto him; and he sat down, and taught them.
3And the scribes and Pharisees brought unto him a woman taken in adultery; and when they had set her in the midst,
4They say unto him, Master, this woman was taken in adultery, in the very act.
5Now Moses in the law commanded us, that such should be stoned: but what sayest thou?
6This they said, tempting him, that they might have to accuse him. But Jesus stooped down, and with his finger wrote on the ground, as though he heard them not.
7So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.
8And again he stooped down, and wrote on the ground.
9And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Jesus was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst.
10When Jesus had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, he said unto her, Woman, where are those thine accusers? hath no man condemned thee?
11She said, No man, Lord. And Jesus said unto her, Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more
This message is not be flesh. Not by my own understanding, wisdom, knowledge or comprehension of the Bible. I want to thank the Spirit of God for revealing this message to me in a dream to teach his people. I give him all the glory and pray that the power of God shall follow hearer and reader of his message in Jesus name. There are several lessons we can learn from this famous scripture.
1. God is love. God loves sinners. He is the lover of sinners. The greatest mistake the scribes and Pharisees was to have brought the adulterous woman to the presence of her creator. The people were seeing sin in her but God was seeing his image in her. You might not have been loved in life. Maybe you have experienced or experiencing hatred and enmity in the hands of your parents, husbands, teachers and bosses. Maybe you think no body loves in life, the good news is that Jesus loves you. Just come unto him and receive his love.
2. Jesus is the deliverer. He came to set us free from bondages. You have a saviour and deliverer in Jesus who the Bible says came to set the captives free. The second mistake the scribes and Pharisees made was to have brought the alleged criminal before the presence of her deliverer whose business is to give life. The accusers of the woman unknowingly led her to her freedom.
John 10:10, “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
No matter the power that has held you captive, today as you run to Jesus, you shall receive your freedom in Jesus name.
3. God has not condemned. Romans 11:32: “For God has delivered all men to condemnation, so He could have mercy on them all in the same way.”
There are some people that are daily condemning themselves as a result of their past sins. Have you committed abortion before, murder, crime, stolen, sex sins, practice occult, persecuted Christians…no matter the magnitude of your past sins, Jesus has not condemn you. Be set free from self condemnation run to Gods favour and love today in Jesus name.
4. Grace overcomes Rules and Regulations.
The accusers of the adulterous woman were quoting laws and bought forward witnesses to substantiate their accusations. Judged by the laws, the woman deserved being stoned to death. But Gods grace breaks rules and regulations. If you break a law and you are about to be punished for the breaking the law, arguments cannot save you, anger can not save you, tears and cries cannot save you, powerful connections and contacts cannot save you, pleadings cannot save you…all you need to do is to remember the covenant of Gods grace on your life. All you need to do is to pray and ask God to intervene by His grace. As a certainty you will be set free no matter the gravity of the offence you have committed.
5. Jesus has paid the penalty for our sins.
Another mistake the Scribes and Pharisee made was to have brought the adulterous woman before her redeemer. It was true that the woman committed adultery. It was true that the woman was caught in the very act. It was true that there were witnesses to this sin. It was also through that under Mosaic law the woman should be stoned to death for this sin. But what was also that the Scribes and Pharisees never knew was that before Moses there was Jesus and after Moses there is still Jesus. The scribes and Pharisees were quoting the law of Moses before someone greater than Moses. The woman’s accusers never knew that Jesus came to be stoned for our sins. He came to take our punishment and set us free.
“The next day John saw Jesus coming towards him and shouted, Look! Here comes the Lamb of God, Who takes away the sins of the world!” (John 1:29)
By the power of the lamb of God I silence every idol asking you to pay the sins of your ancestors. By the blood of Jesus I break every family or ancestral curses speaking against your divine manifestation. By the blood of Jesus I revoke every evil covenant over your life in Jesus name. The grace of God sets you free today in Jesus name.
6. God has a plan for you
The plan of Satan is to kill and destroy the woman allegedly caught in adultery. The plan of Satan was to waste her life. But God has a better plan. God want to deliver her from sin and help her to life a righteous fulfilling life . God wants to fulfil his salvation plan for her.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. Jeremiah 29: 11- 13
There are several people whose lives have deviated from God’s original plan for them through acts of omission or commission. Either through sins of drunkenness, drug addiction, fraud, lying, sex sins, cheating etc Or through Satanic manipulations of their destiny. God is the divine barber and hairdresser. As you bring your overgrown and bushy hair to him today He gives you a new trim look in Jesus name.
Every plan of the devil for your life shall terminate in Jesus name. I command the divine plan of God for your life, family, marriage, career to manifest in Jesus name.
7. Gods grace will see you through all problems
2 Corinthians 12:8-10 says, “My Grace is sufficient for thee.
I can imagine the stigma and torture the woman caught in adultery must have faced. For her to be caught in the very act itself was shameful and disgraceful. She lost her privacy, openly shamed, publicly disgraced, stigmatised, openly mocked and dragged in the street as a public example. She was mobbed by accusers one of which was probably the man that led her into adultery. She had been judged and sentenced and knew in the next few minutes she would die by stoning. She must have faced severe physiological torture and trauma as she awaits her live execution. But as this point Jesus stepped in and set her free by provoking the conscience of her accusers.
The grace of God saw the adulterous woman through to overcome her situation, No matter what you are passing through today, that same grace shall see you through in Jesus name. I speak to your situations to receive grace of God.
8. Repent and Be saved.
The most important lesson of this story is that the Grace gives us the opportunity to be saved. The last word of Jesus to the woman is for her to Go and Sin no more.
You have the power of self will. You have the power to choose right. You have the power to say Yes to Jesus and No to Satan. You have the power to go and Sin no more. There is a reader of this message that needs to go and sin No more. I your sin adultery, go and sin no more. Is your sin homosexuality, go and sin no more. Is your sin masturbation, go and sin no more. Is your sin lying or cheating, go and sin no more.
Romans 10:13 says, “For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”. Receive the power to go and sin no More in Jesus name
