How to receive the blessings of God

Read: Genesis 27:26-29

“And his father Isaac said unto him, Come near now, and kiss me, my son” (Gen 27:26). When a father pronounces a blessing upon his son from his heart, it is a summon for the fellow to be assisted to succeed. This accounts for why someone selling water with such a blessing may become wealthier than the one selling cars. The blessed one succeeds in all his endeavors.

A residual blessing can determine a great future. In Genesis 49:1, when Jacob was about to die in Egypt, he summoned all his children to give them a foretaste of their future. He blessed some, and cursed some. A blessing from the father is an extremely powerful thing. Even the left over blessing no matter how little, can positively affect a man’s destiny. What are you doing to provoke the blessing of your biological father as well as your spiritual father?

According to Genesis 27:13-40, Esau, having lost the double portion blessing of the first born escaped with a residual blessing. Genesis 32:3-6 says the one with the residual blessing became so wealthy and powerful that he needed 400 body guards to safeguard his property. How many bodyguards do the wealthy around you have? Another thing about a father’s heartfelt blessing is that it is irrevocable even by your father – the one who pronounced it.

Once released, it may not be reversed. This season, every blessing you provoke shall be irrevocable in Jesus’ Name.

A blessing is a very precious thing. It is something highly desirable, capable of charting the course of one’s destiny. No wonder Esau burst out in tears when told that he had lost his blessing to his younger brother. I am amazed when I say ‘God bless you’ to people yet they insist on further prayers.

There is no prayer greater than ‘God bless you’. When these three powerful words are released from the heart of your spiritual father, the world’s fraternity of witches and wizards cannot stop or reverse it. Precious things never come cheap.

Even though Jacob deceived to get the blessing, he paid a price for it. Some blessings are mere greetings. But the blessing a father pronounces on his son on his death bed is different from merely saying “Good morning, God bless you”.

When you touch your father’s heart and make his joy full and he pronounces a blessing from his heart, you are made. Do you know you can provoke such a blessing this year? Take the step – pay the price today.
