As an investment guru he started building up investment portfolio at a very tender age. He was known for his sense of accuracy in making investment guess. He was respected by friends and neighbors in his province. He made most of his fortunes during the dot.com boom in Silicon Valley and was quite very happy.
One day, the unexpected happened. He lost an estimated $500 million in one day in the stock market. It was an event that shocked and demoralized him to the extent he committed suicide. He took his own life and went to hell fire. He could have realized that the downfall of a man is never the end of his life. He could have realized that when there is life, there is hope.
Yes! When there is life, there is hope. Never let the failures of the past contaminate your next action. There is hope as long as you are counted among the living. Hopelessness only lies in the tent of the dead. What circumstances you are going through right now, please don’t give up.
The devil will do everything within his power to ensure that your hope and aspiration is dashed. It is up to you to take the bull by the horn and not give in to the schemes and strategies of the devil. The devil will whisper to your ear “you loser!” Never listen to him. The fact that you have failed in an aspect of life doesn’t mean the end of life for you. When all hope seems to be lost, always remember that there are others in worse situation than you are.
When you think you have no pillow to lay your head, please remember the homeless. When you think you have lost $500 million in the stock market, remember those who do not have the funds to invest. When you think you have no shoes, remember those who have no legs to put the shoes.
When you think you have nothing, remember those who have everything but have no good health to enjoy their possessions. When you think you are very ugly and nobody wants to be around you, remember that you were created in the image of God.
When you think your job is unfulfilling, remember those without jobs. When all hope seems to be lost, always remember that there are others in worse situation than you are.
Dearly beloved, herein lies the necessity of allowing the Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life. This is not a negotiable issue. Accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior and reap the benefit of absolute peace and tranquility or reject in him and live in daily misery and endless state of hopelessness.
When all hope seems to be lost, where do you get refreshment and assurance? Who can guarantee you his abiding presence? Well, you might say “I think everything is going my way: I am rich, smart, intelligent, beautiful and famous. I don’t think I need all this jargons.” Remember the young man in my story. Everything might be going well for you today, what about tomorrow?
