Deliverance sermon : How to destroy Spiritual Viruses

Obadiah 1 vs 17-But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions

This message was relayed to be by the spirit of God a week ago. And to him be all the glory.

As I lay down in my room, half asleep after a prayer session, I had a dream in which I saw that my lap top had become infected with a virus. Thereafter, I saw myself clicking an anti virus programme on the lap top’s desk stop, obviously to destroy the virus programme that had infected it.

As I did this, I noticed that the antivirus programme I clicked on had a unique name. The name of the antivirus was not Panda, Norton, Avast or any of the popular antivirus programmes installed on my computer. As I moved the mouse over the antivirus programme on my lap top’s desk stop, the name that appeared to me was ‘Jesus anti-virus’

Is there a new computer antivirus programme now known as ‘Jesus antiviruses? I wondered. When did I install this on my computer? Anyway, I went ahead in the dream and activated the ‘Jesus antivirus’. Immediately the fire of God appeared on the lap top’s desk top and consumed all the viruses on the laptop.

I woke up meditating on the meaning of this dream, asking the Holy Spirit its interpretation. My initial reaction is that maybe through the dream; the spirit of God was showing me a newly manufactured antivirus programme to be known as ‘Jesus antivirus’. But the Holy Spirit say No, that’s is not the purpose of the dream

• The spirit of God gave me the understanding that just as computers are infected with various viruses, the lives of many believers have also been infected with various spiritual viruses in form of sickness, barrenness, recurrent job loss, sudden death, evil attacks, calamities and tragedies.

• Just as computer viruses can only be cleaned by antivirus programmes, spiritual viruses can also only be cleaned by the spirit of God.
• The blood of Jesus and the fire of the Holy Ghost are the only spiritual antivirus capable of cleaning any spiritual virus!

This explains what happened in the dream…As I clicked the programme named ‘Jesus anti-virus’ on the laptop, the fire of God appeared and consumed every virus on the lap top. What a powerful revelation

• The spirit of God also gave me the understanding that just as computer viruses attacks and destroys a system, spiritual viruses are programmed into the lives of people to thwart their destinies and frustrate their desires.

• Moreover, I had the understanding that just as computer viruses are capable of attacking and inflicting harm on any part of the computer including the memory which is the power house of the computer, spiritual viruses can also attack any part of the body including the brain, rendering it useless.

• In some cases, some computer viruses are very strong and cannot be cleaned by the antivirus programmes in the market necessitating the re formatting of the computer. In the same way some spiritual viruses can also be very stubborn and prayer resistant. Examples are prolonged problems that seem not to respond to prayers. Such problems required aggressive prayers and stubborn faith to invoke the fire of God to deal with them

We need to study deeper the nature of computer and biological viruses in order to gain a better understanding of spiritual  viruses and how we can  use’ Jesus antivirus’ to clean them off. In many ways, the material world gives us an indication of what happens in the spiritual world.

Computer and Biological viruses have been with mankind since the ages, and have caused widespread deaths and human deformations. In the year 430 BC there was the Plague of Athens, we also hear of the Black death of 1300s, the bubonic plague of 1855-1950s, the avian flu epidemic of 1918-1920 that caused more people to be hospitalized than from War World I, and claimed the lives of between 20 to 100 million worldwide.

We have heard of the sleeping sickness in Congo basin -1896-1906,  Smallpox outbreak in Yugoslavia of 1972, Smallpox epidemic of India in 1974, the  Dengue outbreak in Singapore in 2005, the  hand, foot and mouth disease  in China -2008, and the ongoing HIV/AIDS worldwide, the  West African meningitis outbreak in 2009, and the  Bolivian dengue fever epidemic -2009
