Just curious where do you see this kind of breaking things in Scripture? Did anyone ever do it? where we commanded to do it?
I thought 2 Cor 5:17, we are new creations, all things new, all old things passed away?
Luke 10:19 “I have given you the authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to destroy all the enemy’s power, and nothing will ever hurt you
Jesus was speaking to his disciples in this passage. His words means there is something to trample on and destroy.
Zechariah 3 vs 1-5:
Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the angel of the LORD, and Satan standing at his right hand to accuse him.
Joshua was a High Priest of God, yet the devil was still accusing him. So the fact that you are born again and a new creature does not immune you from satanic attacks.
“Many are the afflictions of the righteous, but the Lord delivers him out of them all.”(Psalm34:19)
This passage clearly shows that the righteous or born again christian are subject to afflictions. So the fact that ‘all things are new’ does not mean that Satan would not be able to attack you…and you need the kinds of prayers above to overcome these afflictions.
James 4:1-7)7 Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you
Why does the Bible ask us to resist the devil inspite of being born again…and all things being new! Simply because the devil is still prowling around looking for who to devour.
Please check up the meaning of the word ‘resist’. Resistance connotes violence and force. You need to pray violently and to ensure effective ressitance of the devil.
please pray for this haitian priest Santos Alexis and woman priestest Marie Alexandra Abellard Eveillard who needs prayer severely to enter the kingdom of God and to repent to find the goodly road of Christ for righteousness sake. Please pray for me who’s asking for prayer also so God can protect me so nothing happen to me. In the name of Jesus.
I know that it is true that satan will attempt everything to hinder you as a child of God. I have a question for you. I have been saved for 12 years and all throughout this time, I have struggled with money. I know that it is a spirit of poverty is somehow tied to my family. My mother was on welfare and disabled most of her life. My father was an alcoholic and always owed money to a bootlegger. I pay my tithes and offerings. I am a giving person and would give my shirt off my back to help someone in need. I want to be blessed financially so that I can give and help others. I keep experiencing the same cycle. I will have for a little bit and then…I am in lack with checks bouncing. I can’t understand it except it is something spiritual.
Sorry…I submitted by accident. What do I do to come against this off of my life and my seed?
