1 Chronicles 16 vs. 4 – And he appointed certain of the Levites to minister before the ark of the Lord, and to record, and to thank and praise the Lord God of Israel:

1. David was a warrior in battle and worship.
2. The Bible records in 1 Chronicles 16 vs. 4, that David appointed 13 Levites and gave them the exclusive responsibility of praising and thanking God.
3. The only thing they did was to come in front of the ark of the Covenant and sing praises before God from morning to night.
4. Some of the instruments used are psalteries, harps, cymbals, and trumpets.
5. One of the 13 Levites was Obededom, who later in the Bible history kept the ark of the covenant in his house for six months.
