The Character of God: God judges

Exodus 12 vs 12

For I will pass through the land of Egypt this night, and will smite all the firstborn in the land of Egypt, both man and beast; and against all the gods of Egypt I will execute judgment: I am the Lord.

1. The Egyptians enslaved the Israelites for 430 years.
2. When God decided to deliver the Israelites from the bondage of the Egyptians, he judged the Egyptians.
3. He kills all the Egyptians’ firstborns, both man and beast.
4. He told Moses, ‘ I am the Lord and will execute judgment’.
5. So, anytime you are doing any evil or wickedness, know surely that there is judgment waiting for you in the future.
